Peaceful Nights, Dreadful Days « Thread Started on Jul 4, 2006, 6:51pm »
Fierce blue orbics grazed the dark hour horizon. Pads left imprints underneath the place the femme sat in the sand. The bay water ruching up to her paws before ruching back to teh depths of which they came. Thick hair was blown by the night hour wind, one ear flipped over on top of the femme's head. Haunch's lowered to the ground as a sigh moved from her muzzle. She laid upon the ground her front legs getting soaked along with teh bottom of her muzzle that laid atop them. Ears pricked up as she heard unfamiliar tones, the humans up on the wood things where the water objects pulled up. Blue orbics were finally concealed as she tryed to gather peace by closing them. She continued to listen to every unfamiliar tone, waiting for another four leg to come up, hoping for another to come up. She wasn't up for a fight tonight, so hoped it wasn't a four legged with sharp claws, cats as they called themselves. She was hoping for a four leg like her, the bigger ones that roamed the streets like her, hounds. She gave another sigh and just layed there, thoughts swarming her mind.

::Over sized mitts collided with the soft ground beneath his weighted figure. Shaggy coat had been shedding for at least two months now and still he had clumps loose and ready to fall out, he rubbed his side against one of the dock's leggings, leaving a puff of white on it's side. Sigh heaved forth, feeling a little better, of all things he hated the most about himself his pelt was the biggest, during the summer months at least. During the winter he was usually the warmest while the others huddled around one another for warmth. Bushy tail flickered to and fro behind wolven figure, nose twitching picking up the faint scent of another not to far in the distance. Mitts came to a halt and eyes of orange hue looked in the direction, auds twitching hearing the vague sound of human voices and he scoffed at them before he continued on his way. Looking out into the water as he approached her, tail was held high in a dominate posture, she was on his turf but that didn't give him the right to attack her, and he wouldn't chase her off unless a good reason was given. Pawing closer he could see her clearly and vocals rang forth.:: "Lass you trying to drown yourself there?" ::His tone was deep but held a bit of an Irish accent, one that he had carried since he first learned how to speak.::

Ears were still pricked as the accent reached them, orbics slowly opening. She looked toward the hound that now joined her, haunchs moving her to a standing stance. Ocassionaly crosses the mind mate, haven't truly tried though, her own natural Australian accent glistening on her lyrics. Orbics flickered to the docks, catching sight of a human, then back to the hound in front of her. Emotionless expression sat upon the femme's face, orbics staring into his in a fearless fashoin. He wasn't dominant over her until he claimed the position, she wasn't nessacarily trying to threaten him, only tell him her belief. Tail flicked along with his as she watched him, not dipping her head as she would have to a dominant hound. As far as she was concerned he was not higher nor lower than her, only on hte same level, giving her no reason to how respect nor threat toward him.

::Unlike most beast who owned portions of land, Sway wasn't one to jump on someone for lack of respect, alpha or not he was better off earning it than getting it by force. Tail still hung over backside, mitts carrying him to the waters edge, the liquid lapping over his mitts lightly. Simple smirk formed upon features and he nodded, shoulders rolling in a shrugging motion.:: "Aye, I hear ya on that one..." He chuckled lightly and once more turned attention to the men on the dock, Halloween hued optics watching them carefully, tail tip giving a flick of annoyance. The brute had more run ins with hateful humans, and even though he use to have an owner in the past he now knew that not all of them were kind. Slowly his head turned back to her and an eyebrow lifted.:: "So lassy, what brings you to my side of the city?" ::He figured to at least put it out there that the docks had been claimed by him and his pack, though there was no telling where the rest of them were at the moment, scattered about as always most likely.::

Blue toned orbics, watched him, as well as the humans. The only emotion showing was hatred in her orbics, hatred for life, exsistence, and humans. She turned back to him and gave no sign of her emotion, though had she a smile might of appeared. Multi-colored figure turned to the ocean as well, letting her pads sink into the water, hoping to relieve them from pain. Audits pricked, listening to her words, still she showed no respect for him, yet no threat either. Respect had to be gained from her, she would not give it unless you proved yourself worthy of having it. Knowing some hounds fought for the respect they thought they deserved, she showed even less respect for them, moving to threat. This hound had not shown any sign of attaking her though, and she was glad. You could say that my lack of trust brought me here, or just the on going sense of hatred for myself. Mianly the peace you may gather from teh soft ripples falling in. She turned her muzzle to face him, still no emotion upon it.

::Auds were lifted and his listened intently as she spoke, taking in her words and letting them soak in his mind before vocals sounded.:: "Ahh, I see...these waters are a great healer for one...and trust...well that can only come in time, no matter whom its directed towards..." ::He grew quite and stepped more so into the water, up to about his ankles, head was turned away from her. His body was relaxed, he wasn't to worried about an attack, she didn't seem like one that would go off for no reason, and he wasn't going to give her one. Tail wagged lightly behind and then in an instant hind limbs folded beneath his weight and he sat staring out to into the bay.:: "Though if I may pry a bit, why is it such a lass as yourself is in such a hateful mood to thyself? " ::Visage was taken off of the view before him and landed back upon the fae, eyebrow lifted in question. If she wanted to tell him that would be grand, and if not than he could easily live with that also.::

The femme watched him for moments before haunches lowered and she sat as well. Watching a few water floaters go by in the distance, audits took in his lyrics. She gave a light bark, sounding more like a chuckle to the hound audits. Blue orbics trialed back to him, wondering whether or not she should answer. Though she didn't trust him, only because she trusted no one, she could live with the brute knowing. Blue orbics stared into teh abiss of the bay, wishing s much to be like it, so free and unattached from all around her. Why do I have such a loathing for myself? Difficult question mate, I just believe that I shouldn't have done the things I have. I wish I could give back the innocent lives I've taken, find a better path to trudge upon, but I also know that I can't. It all leads me to loathing myself and distrust.

::Once again he listened to her and nodded understandably.:: Blood spilled can't be soaked back up and life regiven...thats a fact. Though, regrets...they aren't something that should keep you from living your life. ::He turned from her again, thinking back to deaths he too had committed, while he hatted to do the deed, there were times as an alpha he had no other choice but to do so to protect his pack and his turf, innocent and guilty alike. A few years of running his little group had given him a reputation, though he never let it change who he was inside. There was a fine line of a murder and just doing what was needed for survival.:: You can always start over lass, it's just up to yourself to decide when and where...or you can live your life in a self hatred and pity...either way you can't change your past. Why drown when you can swim? ::Sway looked down to his mitts under the water, head wouldn't move, though eyes shifted behind him to gaze at her.::

Dakota's audits slighlty lowered in thought of his words. She didn't know why she couldn't start over, it all haunted her life, shroded hier mind wiht only memory. Easier said than done. My mind is only shrouded by memories that won't go away. Incidents that I wish would have killed me as they were meant to. Though my hide's too tough to let another bring me death, only myself. I will always fight back, live in the past, wait until the day when death comes for me and I grasciously accept to remove the life I've lived. The femme looked at him, haunches raising as she stood back up. Tail slightly flicked from side to ide as she moved closer to the water. Stepping in up to her joints she watched the brute with a quiet anticipation for nothing. Her think fur followed the wind as she stared out at the horizon.

::Skull shook side to side his gaze drifted back to his mitts head not yet rising. :: Your head is in a fog, you just need to look past it...and I'm sure once you figure how to do that then your life won't be in such misery. ::He sighed, feeling almost bad for the fae, he didn't know what it was like to live like that, guilt got to him, but it had never over taken his life. :: I can offer you a new start, but it's up to you if you wish to take it. ::He looked up and over to her and allowed a simple smile to spread across jowls.:: As I said before these docks as this side of the city is my claimed land, I can't make your past any better but I can at least give you some shelter and food. I just ask you to try and let the past be just that.... ::He made the offer but wasn't sure if she would take or leave it, he and his pack were always welcoming of new members, unlike their rivals who would have ran her out long ago. He awaited some sort of response, or maybe none, there was no rush in getting her to become one of his members...even just a new acquaintance would be fine with the brute.::

The femme let his words soak into her mind, thinking them over. She had no idea as to how to rid herself of the past, how to forget what she had done. She wished the memories wouldn't haunt her like they did, but felt it strange that there was one last life she wished to take. His, the one that had started her true pain, her old owner's son that had given her her first near death experiance. She listened to the offer, her head slowly nodding at his words. I can only try to forget my past, I can not promise it will work. Many times before I've tried, only to be let down. Maybe it's because I've never had anything else to ponder, nothing more to do. If you can live with the point that I may fail at my attempts, then I accept, if you can't I will continued my journey of sollitude. Her blue orbics travelled to him, as her muzzle only slightly turned, yet the expression did not change.

::Skull lifted and he nodded with a smile...she had accepted and that made him happy. He would much rather see her around than on the street as a loner, down this portion of town being an outcast could get you into trouble.:: That is all I can ask for you to do. Though possibly with others around you will be able to find yourself again. ::He hoped the best for her, she seemed like a well enough girl and would make a great addition to the pack. Auds perked and he turned back to those humans still up on the dock talking. All along he had tried to ignore them and still he did, remembering his initial greeting and then the fact he had forgotten something.:: Though if you are to join, I do suppose we shall need to exchange names... ::He smirked as tail wagged and dipped lightly into the salty water slinging some of the liquid about.:: Name's Sway ::Weight redistributed upon front mitts as they had started to sink into the soaked sand.::
